Well, this isĀ my first post in the world of blogging. I’ve finally made the commitment to a schedule and I’ll definitely be asking for feedback!
I’ll be covering different aspects of real estate for both buyers and sellers, and diving into some issues that aren’t always at the forefront. I’ll also be blogging about neighborhoods in Chicago. Since I dine out nearly 100% of the time and love Chicago restaurants, I’ll have information on restaurants and the neighborhoods that are their context.
For my first post I wanted to highlight something that’s very important, and gives everyone an opportunity to help!
@properties in Chicago has a new team called the @properties Friends and Neighbors Community Fund. They’ve already sponsored a few events this past year, but their projects are increasing in scale and frequency. Here is the newest event on the horizon, but it’s coming up quickly!
On Thursday, November 12th, we will be hosting the Autumn Food Drive Event at STATE in Lincoln Park. This event benefits three local food pantries who are in desperate need of supplies. Food pantries in Chicago have seen a 33% increase in usage by neighborhood families so donations are critical at this time!
The event details are at the link below and from the $30 donation, $10 goes directly to the food pantries.
STATE is a great place to hang out, but with a Bears game that night, it will also be the best spot to watch the Bears play San Francisco.
Please pass this on to your friends and co-workers and we’ll have a great turnout to help others as we enter the holiday season.
